AST Dew Tour Beijing China

Dew Tour: Beijing China

The last week has been filled with Chinese culture and competition as the best skateboarders and BMX athletes came to Beijing to compete in the first-ever AST China Invitational.

Saturday kicked-off the first day of competition at Beijing Coliseum with the Skate Vert finals and Best Trick contest. All the skaters were killing it on the ramp, but it was Brazil’s Sandro Dias that had everyone on their feet when he landed the first-ever 900 in China. Unfortunately, Sunday’s skate park finals were canceled due to rain, but that didn’t stop the guys from skating. All the skate park athletes took to the halls of the coliseum tearing it up on the marble floors.

The athletes were treated to a day of sightseeing, and on Wednesday’s tour of the Great Wall of China Andy Macdonald fulfilled a child hood dream when he skated down a stone rail on one of the Seven Wonders of the World. From mingling with the locals to trying some very authentic food – duck liver, anyone? – all the guys had an amazing time!
